Notes

We knew we need drums for Saint Lucifer and my idea for double-time verses vs. a single-time hook was hard for my producer and engineer to make sense of, but David asked j.d. to give a listen to what I was going for and he came in with a concept that “tied the whole [song] together.”

His drums helped dial in the AOR sound we were going for on “Carnegie Hill” and the hardcore punk slam of “Some Other Time.” The drums on “Dirty Ol’ Sunshine” made me want to second-line around the studio. I’m not sure we needed a second take on any of these!
