Bio/other credits

Drummer j.d. hanes has been genre-hopping around the Bay Area music scene for decades, with stops at new wave ( Pearl Harbor and the Explosions, Romeo Void), industrial (Chrome), psychedelic blues-rock (Jorma Kaukonen, Ronnie Montrose, Freddy Roulette), experimental (Henry Kaiser), jazz (Barbara Morrison), movie soundtracks (Grizzly Man), and opera (Oakland Opera Theater, many productions). Along with David James’s GPS and Russian Telegraph, he currently spends most of his music time with John Schott’s Actual Trio, Myles Boisen’s Past/Present/Future, and world groove jam band Doublestroke.
